Alocasia odora 'Okinawa Silver' Aurea (Established Starter)
Own an incredibly rare jewel of the plant world. This premium Alocasia odora 'Okinawa Silver' Aurea features striking, highly sought-after yellow and gold variegation splashed across vibrant green, heart-shaped leaves.
Unlike unrooted tissue culture plugs or fragile fresh corms, these starters are fully acclimated, highly resilient, and established in our signature semi-hydroponic medium.

Product Features
  • Premium Genetics: Highly coveted Aurea (yellow/gold) mutation of the classic Okinawa Silver.
  • Premium Substrate: Grown in a professional blend of Fluval Stratum and Perlite to maximize root oxygenation and nutrient uptake.
  • Plug-and-Play Roots: Features a fully established, active water-root system visible through clear propagation cups. Zero immediate transition shock for you or your retail customers.

Semi-Hydro & General Care Guide
To maintain the striking gold variegation and keep this rare cultivar thriving, follow these core care guidelines:
  • Light: Bright, indirect light is mandatory. Provide strong indirect sun or high-quality grow lights. Weak light will cause the plant to lose its yellow coloring and revert to solid green. Avoid direct harsh sunlight, which can burn the variegated sections.
  • Water & Reservoir: Keep a shallow water reservoir at the bottom of the cup (about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way up). Replenish the water when the reservoir dries out, but before the Stratum and perlite mix completely loses its moisture.
  • Humidity: Thrives best in high humidity (60% or above). Elevated humidity levels support larger leaf development and prevent the delicate yellow edges from crisping.
  • Temperature: Keep in a warm environment strictly between 65°F and 85°F. Protect the plant from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and sudden temperature drops, which can trigger dormancy.
  • Feeding: Fluval Stratum provides rich initial nutrients. When supplementing, use a highly diluted, water-soluble fertilizer formulated for semi-hydroponics during active growing seasons.

Shipping & Handling Note
Plants are secured and shipped directly in their original Stratum and perlite mix to ensure maximum root protection during transit.
