Rare, velvety climber with creamy variegation from fully established, non–tissue culture stock.

Philodendron Melanochrysum Variegated is a true collector’s piece, combining the iconic “black gold” velvet leaves of classic melanochrysum with striking, creamy variegation. Each elongated, heart-shaped leaf is brushed with patches and streaks of pale green, cream, or soft bronze, creating a one-of-a-kind pattern on every plant. These plants are grown from established stock, not tissue culture, so you get stable, mature growth with character and thicker, more resilient stems and roots.
This is a vining, climbing philodendron that performs best when given a moss pole or other support to attach to. With proper light and humidity, leaves can size up beautifully, showing off their velvety texture and shimmering surface. Bright, indirect light helps maintain good variegation, while the naturally dark base color keeps the plant looking lush and moody in any space.
Philodendron Melanochrysum Variegated prefers a chunky, well-draining aroid mix and consistent, lightly moist (never soggy) soil. Allow the top layer of the mix to dry slightly between waterings, then water thoroughly and let excess drain away. High humidity and gentle, regular feeding during the growing season will reward you with faster growth, larger leaves, and cleaner variegation. Like other philodendrons, it is not pet- or child-safe if ingested, so keep it out of reach of curious paws and hands.

Care Highlights:
• Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid hot direct sun
• Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry
• Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix in a pot with drainage
• Humidity: Prefers higher humidity for best leaf quality
• Growth habit: Climbing; benefits from a moss pole or trellis
• Pet safety: Not safe for pets or children if ingested
