Peperomia ‘Astrid’ is a small, sculptural houseplant with thick, textured leaves that look almost quilted. Its compact shape and rich green foliage make it a perfect “little accent plant” for shelves, windowsills, and desks. The leaves hold water like a semi‑succulent, so it forgives the occasional missed watering and doesn’t need constant attention.
This peperomia is happiest in bright, indirect light but will tolerate medium light without complaint. Let the top of the soil dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly and let excess drain away. With steady, gentle care, ‘Astrid’ stays neat and mounding, adding a pop of texture among your trailing and broad‑leaf plants.
At The Accidental Plant Shop, we love ‘Astrid’ as a contrast piece in small groupings—its structured leaves play really well with softer, more flowy foliage. It’s a great choice for newer plant parents who want something a little more interesting than a basic green plant, but still low drama.

Growth habit: Compact, mounding, slow-growing
Pet safety: Generally considered pet-friendly, but we still recommend keeping all plants out of snacking range
