Dieffenbachia ‘Camille’ is a classic statement houseplant loved for its broad, oval leaves splashed with creamy white centers and deep green edges. This fast-growing tropical brings instant “jungle vibes” to any room, thriving in medium to bright indirect light and adapting well to most well-lit spaces.
Low-maintenance and forgiving, ‘Camille’ prefers evenly moist, well-draining soil and will reward consistent care with lush, upright growth reaching around 2–3 feet tall indoors over time. Like other Dumb Cane varieties, it is toxic if ingested, so it’s best displayed out of reach of pets and small children.
CARE
Light: Bright to medium indirect light; avoid harsh direct sun to prevent leaf burn.
Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry, keeping the soil lightly moist but never soggy.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity; mist occasionally or use a pebble tray if air is very dry.
Temperature: Loves warm rooms, ideally 65–75°F; protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature drops.
Feeding: Fertilize monthly in spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertilizer; pause feeding in fall and winter.
Pet + kid safety: Sap is toxic if ingested and can irritate skin, so keep out of reach of pets and children.
