Philodendron Brasil (Philodendron hederaceum ‘Brasil’) is a fast‑growing trailing houseplant with glossy, heart‑shaped leaves streaked and splashed in lime and chartreuse over deep green. Its vines spill beautifully from hanging baskets, shelves, and plant walls, bringing a lush, tropical feel to any space.
This variety is loved for its forgiving nature and bold, irregular variegation, with each leaf showing a slightly different pattern. Given good light and basic care, Philodendron Brasil grows quickly and can be easily pruned and propagated, making it perfect for both new plant parents and seasoned collectors.

PLANT CARE

Light: Prefers medium to bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light, but variegation may fade and vines may become leggy if it is too dim. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.

• Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy; let excess water drain fully and do not allow the plant to sit in standing water.
• Soil: Use a well‑draining, chunky potting mix that holds some moisture but drains quickly, such as a standard indoor mix amended with perlite or bark.
• Humidity: Enjoys average to higher household humidity. It will do fine in most homes but will appreciate extra humidity for larger, lusher leaves.
• Temperature: Thrives in typical indoor temperatures and prefers it warm. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below about 55–60°F.
• Growth habit: A vining plant that can be grown trailing from a pot or trained up a trellis, pole, or moss pole. Regular pruning encourages a fuller, bushier plant.
• Pet safety: Considered toxic if ingested. Keep away from pets and children who may chew on leaves.
