Peperomia columella is a rare, compact succulent peperomia with bright green, tightly stacked leaves that form upright, column-like stems. This unusual species is native to Peru and naturally grows in dry, rocky areas such as cliff crevices and sandy soil.
Its thick, fleshy leaves have translucent “window” tops that help give the plant its distinctive architectural look. Peperomia columella is a great choice for collectors, succulent lovers, small-space plant displays, and bright windowsills.
Grow in bright light with excellent drainage. Use a cactus or succulent-style mix, water thoroughly, and allow the soil to dry before watering again to help prevent rot. Protect from frost and cold temperatures, as this plant is best grown indoors or in a warm protected environment.
