Hoya quinquenervia 'Little Plu'
Hoya ‘Little Plu’ 4” with trellis
Hoya ‘Little Plu’ is a charming compact Hoya with small, beautifully shaped leaves and a dense growth habit. It’s an especially good choice for collectors who love miniature and small-leaved Hoyas, with plenty of character packed into a plant that doesn’t demand a huge amount of space.
The foliage grows closely along its stems, creating a full, textured appearance as the plant matures. Allow it to trail naturally from a shelf or hanging pot, or train the vines onto a small trellis for a more upright display.
Like many Hoyas, ‘Little Plu’ appreciates plenty of light, excellent drainage, and being allowed to dry somewhat between waterings.
Care Highlights
- Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal for compact, healthy growth.
- Water: Allow the potting mix to partially dry between thorough waterings.
- Soil: Use a chunky, airy and fast-draining Hoya or epiphytic mix.
- Humidity: Appreciates moderate humidity with good air circulation.
- Growth: Compact and vining with small foliage; suitable for trailing or training onto a support.
- Blooming: Mature, established plants may flower when provided with strong light and consistent care.
- Peduncles: Leave old flower peduncles intact, as Hoyas can bloom repeatedly from them.
- Pet safety: Hoyas are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs.
