How to use – corm sprouting instructions

1. **Prepare the reservoir**
- Fill the clear outer cup about 1/3–1/2 full of water so the wick hangs into the water but the inner cup will sit above it.
- Optional: Add a very light, balanced fertilizer to the water for an extra boost once roots appear.

2. **Add your propagation medium**
- Place the colored inner cup with wick installed into the reservoir.
- Fill the inner cup with a loose, airy mix such as 50/50 Fluval Stratum + perlite, or sphagnum moss + perlite.
- Lightly moisten the mix so it is damp but not dripping; the wick will keep it evenly moist.

3. **Plant the corm**
- Position the corm with the pointy or “eye” side facing up.
- Nestle it into the medium with just the top at or slightly above the surface to reduce rot.
- Firm the medium gently around the sides to stabilize the corm.

4. **Cover and place**
- Snap the dome lid on to trap humidity while the corm wakes up.
- Set the cup in a warm, bright spot with indirect light—avoid harsh direct sun on the dome.

5. **Monitor and maintain**
- Check the reservoir weekly and top up as needed; keep water below the inner cup so the wick, not the corm, contacts the water.
- If the medium ever feels too wet, remove the dome or let the top dry slightly before replacing.

6. **After sprouting**
- Once you see a healthy shoot and a few roots, remove the dome and let the plant acclimate to open air.
- When roots fill the cup or the first leaf hardens off, transplant into a larger pot with your usual aroid mix or semi‑hydro setup.
